All About Us...

At The Joanne Banks Dancers the emphasis is upon creating performers not only teaching them how to dance but also building their confidence and inter-personal skills. Dedication, team-work, independence, hard-work and enthusiasm are qualities we encourage in all our students. We believe dancing is fun and exciting and to be enjoyed by everyone!

We employ only the best teachers, administration staff and chaperones who are not only experienced in working with children but also have a good theatrical background. Our Child Protection and Health and Safety policies are uncompromising and all staff are regularly police checked.

The Joanne Banks Dancers have received much praise from each of the choreographers/directors they have worked with. They have been commended on their performance skills, ability to pick up routines quickly and accurately, their conduct and behaviour.





Above - Rebecca Nicholson, Laura Kelly and Sarah Dawson  who were nominated for International Theatre Dance Awards for Tap. Rebecca was also nominated for Theatre Craft.


 Our students have been recognised by the IDTA for their high standards and have been nominated for International Theatre Dance Awards in Tap Ballet and Theatre Craft.
Each year within the school a scholarship is given for a student to attend the summer school of a prestigious dance or performing arts college.

Ex-pupils can be seen on tour in the Uk and abroad, dancing on cruise ships, in professional pantomime and presenting on Gems TV!
